It would be really useful to allow an image file to be loaded into field programmatically.
So instead of allocating a sprite directly to a field, you would be able to specify the web address of an image which would then be rendered as per the size of the field. This wouldn’t need to have all the features that a sprite does, just an ability to render it as a picture on an interface.
I think this would be a great feature which would complement the new https ability’s and would allow player Avatars etc… to be created and uploaded by the player.
