001 Game Creator Update
A fresh public build of 001 Game Creator has just been released, bringing the latest improvements from our Patreon beta into the main version.
This update fixes an issue where table data could get lost in saved games after removing unrelated tables, clarifies that Android developers should now install Java SE Development Kit 17, and resolves compatibility problems that prevented Android Bundle (.aab) files from building properly with newer versions of Gradle. It’s a smaller but important update, especially for creators preparing mobile releases.
While this release focuses on stability and compatibility, we’ve got some exciting new features in the works for future updates. Previous Highlights
If you missed our earlier announcement, the last major update brought several notable improvements to 001 Game Creator. Resource editor stability has been greatly improved, eliminating the random crashes some users encountered when switching between resources. Large maps now scroll smoothly again, even when zoomed in, and actors using acceleration now properly reach their minimum negative velocity, resulting in more consistent movement behavior.
We also ensured that held items correctly apply actor tint and specular colors, resolved UNICODE-related import crashes, and refined several aspects of platform exporting, including updated Android API support, expanded Epic Games Store build options, and unified achievement and stat handling across Steam and Epic.
